Day 35 of our World cruise.  February 7, 2025

Today we are in port at Puerto Montt, Chile.  We went on an excursion to the national park where the Osorno volcano is.  We hiked in to get a good pic.

More electrical nightmare.

Day 34 of our World cruise.  February 6, 2025

Our position today:

Today will be our third sea day as we did not stop at our first port in Chile due to high seas and bad weather for the tender.  Not too much missed as it was just a quick stop at a very small port.  Our next port is tomorrow is Puerto Montt, Chile. We will get there in the morning and we have a city tour planned.

Today we slept in as we were up quite late last night.  Played some games, watched some TV till wee hours.

Day 33 of our World cruise.  February 5, 2025.

Today is our second sea day before stopping at our next port in Chile.  We ran into some pretty rough water late yesterday and last night.  Due to the rough seas water, the Captain deviated a bit.  We went into an inter coastal waterway.  Much smoother water and very scenic. Lots of fjords to navigate.

We have moved from the inside passage to along the coast as the winds have subsided.  Our position now;

Day 32 of our World cruise.  February 4, 2025

Today is the first of two sea days before we pull into our next port.  Last night our ship left Ushuaia and we sailed through some deep canyons over to the Pacific Ocean and Chile. The Captain pointed out where glaciers would be.  It reminds us very much of Alaska.

Today is our first taste of rough seas.  We are not allowed out on any of decks.  It rained earlier but has since stopped, but the winds are strong and causing some pretty big waves.  Our ship is big enough so we don’t feel too much rocking inside, but there is some.

Today was another edition of the World Games.  We had to blow up a balloon and use the air escaping to move a paper cup through a maze on a table and into a trash can.  Pretty difficult.  Our team did not win this one, but overall we are in the lead.

Day 31 of our World cruise.  February 3, 2025

Today is our second day in the port of Ushuaia, Argentina.  Today we did another excursion into the city.  It took us around the city and then we boarded a very narrow gauge train the was billed as “The train to the end of the world”.  It took us through the national park to the very tip of Argentina and South America.  Today was a nice clear day, but cold and windy.  40 degrees and wind chill made it feel like 32.  We are only 600 miles from Antarctica.

Day 30 of our World cruise.  February 2, 2025

Our position today docked in port of Ushuaia, Argentina.

Today we went on a city tour that ended with a dinner at a local restaurant up in the mountains.  This area is very mountainous and reminds us of the Canadian Rockies.  Little bit of a rainy day today.  Not a washout, just drizzling  on and off.

Here are come pics.

Little bit of life boat practice for the crew.

We can’t believe we have been on the cruise for a month already.  The time goes by so fast.

Day 29 of our World cruise.  February 1, 2025.

Today is a scheduled day at sea on our way to Ushuaia. Argentina.

The Captain has informed us we will spend a second day in Ushuaia due to our missing going in port at the Falkland Islands.  He also told us that we would be passing Cape Horn at 4:30 this afternoon on our starboard side.  The southern most tip of South America.

Little bit of card playing.

Because we are so far south, sunset and sunrise are a little extreme.  Today’s sunset is 9:45pm and tomorrow’s sunrise is 5:25.

Day 120 of our World cruise.  May 4, 2025.   Today our World cruise came to an end.  We traveled for four months, and 40,204 miles circumna...
