Day 62 of our World cruise.  March 7, 2025

Our position today.

Today is a sea day on our way to Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand.

Today we took part in a behind the scenes tour of some areas of the ship.  Today was back stage area of the theater where all the shows are.  Dressing rooms, prop rooms, control rooms, and behind the giant LED screen.  Very interesting.  We also toured the laundry room, crew quarters areas, and galley.  Also very interesting.  On another day we will tour the bridge and engine room.

No pics from this tour as we were not allowed bring cameras or phones.

Mt. Taranaki.  The second highest peak in the north island of New Zealand at 8200 feet.  It is a dormant volcano.  We saw it from our cabin balcony today.

Day 61 of our World cruise.  March 6, 2025

Today we are anchored off shore of Bay of Islands, New Zealand.

We did another kayaking excursion up the river to Haruru Falls.  It was a beautiful day with nice calm waters.

After kayaking we worked up an appetite and went into town for a little lunch.

Trike for three!

Day 60 of our World cruise.  March 5, 2025.

Today we are on a sea day on our way to The Bay of Islands, New Zealand.  It was originally going to be our first stop in New Zealand however the captain adjusted the itinerary a little to avoid Typhoon Alfred.  We skipped Bay of Islands and went to Auckland and Tauranga first.  Now we will go to Bay of Islands and not miss any ports.  The weather has been great and we missed all the wind and rain from Alfred.

Today, being day 60, is now the halfway point on our cruise.  It still amazes us how fast this cruise is going.  It does not seem like 60 days has gone by.

Day 59 of our World cruise.  March 4, 2025.

Our position today in Tauranga, New Zealand.

Today we went on a kayaking excursion about an our inland on a fresh water lake and into a cave where glowworms were.

That’s the cave we kayaked into to see the glow worms in pitch black darkness.

Day 58 of our World cruise.  March 3, 2025.

Today we are docked in port in Auckland, New Zealand.

The weather is beautiful with no wind and a 75 degree temperature.  We do not have any planned excursions today other than going ashore and do a hop on hop off bus tour of the city.  The ride was great and here are some photos.

Day 57 of our World cruise.  March 2, 2025.

Our position today.

Today is our third sea day as we travel to Auckland, New Zealand.  It seems the cyclone off the coast of Australia has slowed down and weakened, so we will be clear sailing now.

We skipped March 1st as we crossed the International Dateline last night.  We set our clocks back one hour and ahead one day as instructed.  Really crazy.

The weather has cleared up nicely and temperatures have cooled down as we head south.  We have highs in the mid 70’s and lows in the mid 60’s.

The view today off our balcony.  The ocean is as smooth as a lake.

Tonight was Hawaiian night.

Day 56 of our World cruise.  February 28, 2025.

Today at midnight we will cross the International Dateline.  We are to set out clocks one hour back and one full day forward.  Pretty crazy.  We go from February 28 today to March 2 after midnight.

Day 120 of our World cruise.  May 4, 2025.   Today our World cruise came to an end.  We traveled for four months, and 40,204 miles circumna...
