Day 21 of our World cruise.  January 24,, 2025.

Our position today. Off the coast of Uruguay. 

Today is another sea day.  We slept in a little later today as it was drizzly this morning.  Another relaxing day today.  We had another World Games event this morning.  Our “Fire” team won this round.  It was couples with one straw carrying empty soda cans from one table to another using only the straw to hold the can and each person had an end of the staw in their mouth.

 Day 20 of our World cruise.  January 23, 2025

Our position at noon today.

We are at sea all day today. The view from our balcony. Pretty much how it is most sea days.

The temperature is 86 degrees and we are gonna hang out in the pool and pool deck area. The World game today was water bottle flipping.  We did not do to good at that.

Suzanne went to Crafts today and made a hat.

 Day 19 of our World cruise.  January 22, 2025

Today is our second day in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  We had an all day 4x4 vehicle excursion through the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world.  Then up Corcovado hill to the Christ the Redeemer statue, and then on to Copacabana Beach.  The vehicles were open 4x4 Jeep type with benches to sit on in the rear bed area. The ride through the urban forest was adventurous and scenic.  Once at the top of Corcovado hill by the statue, we had to  transfer into park vehicles then up two escalators, and an elevator before we were finally at the statue. It was breathtaking. Here are some pics:

Day 18 of our World cruise.  January 21, 2025.

Our position today.

Today we arrive in Rio de Janeiro.  We will be here for two days. The weather forecast here is sunny with daytime highs of 100 and overnight lows of 85.

Here are some pics as we were pulling into port.

We will park right behind this ship.  It is the MSC Poesia. A ship of the same class and size as ours.

This afternoon we will go ashore for a city tour of Rio de Janeiro.  More pics to come.

Just completed the city tour of Rio.  It included a motor coach ride through town pointing out the important places.  We then were treated to a cable care ride up Sugarloaf mountain.  The views of the city are spectacular.  We could see Christ the Redeemer monument in the distance.  We will visit that tomorrow.  

Then we went by Copacabana beach, before heading back to the ship.
