Day 8 of our World cruise.  January 11, 2025.

Our ship left Casablanca, Morocco last night at 10PM. Today is the first of 3 full days at sea as we proceed to Mindelo, Cape Verde.  Mindelo is about a quarter of the was across the Atlantic between Africa and South America. When we arrive in Mindelo we will be a short distance above the equator.  The weather has drastically changed from cool winter temps to nice warm tropical temps.  So far on our cruise we only had one day of rain, back in Genoa, Italy.  That day was not a washout, just a little drizzling.  So the weather has been fine.

Today we had a nice breakfast outside on deck 13 at the rear of the ship.  A wonderful outdoor venue for breakfast or lunch.  After breakfast we attended a presentation in the theatre of all the activities planned for the World cruise.  Very informative and it will help us plan our time on board ship.
